Hi Everyone, My Name name is Owen Evans and I am a professional Native English teacher from the UK. I’ve had a lot of experience in teaching students from all over the world. I like to make sure all of my lessons are fun and interesting. I look forward to our first lesson together.
I’m highly qualified having been teaching English for over two years to lots of different students from all over the world. I’ve also taught guitar for almost 10 years to students of all abilities and ages. I currently hold a Degree in Music as well as being a TEFL certified teacher.
My hobbies include Travelling, Music, Guitar, Football/Soccer, Language, Food and Culture so I am confident that we can find lots of topics to talk about.

Yes even though you can’t speak English at all, We can help beginner students learn the basics of English and become good English speakers.
Both IELTS and TOEFL tutoring are available to help you prepare for any upcoming exams you may have. We can study together for the exam & then when you are ready I can help you apply for your exam.
Yes, you can take as many lessons as you want. However, we would recommend you only take 2 lessons per week to give you time to study.
How Lessons Work
Our lessons take place via video chat. We would recommend skype or facetime however other options are available. We offer a free 15-minute consultation lesson if you wish to discuss what you want to practice or if you have any questions. You can download Skype for free by clicking here.
All textbooks and learning materials will be sent over after your first lesson. If your teacher requires you to buy any textbooks you will be notified.
Payment has to be received at least 4 hours before each lesson. We recommend that you are ready and waiting for your lesson 5 minutes before it is supposed to start. This way we can start the lesson early if possible. If payment is not received the lesson will be cancelled. However, we will honour any alternate agreement you have with your teacher.
Once the lesson has finished, you will be sent a review form with words that you need to practice. This sheet will also include any words you may have had problems with as well as new vocabulary you have learned. It is expected that you practice these words so you can improve your English level for the next lesson. Review forms can be sent in English, 日本語, 한국어 & 中文.
Prices
Our prices:
$15usd for a 30 Minute Lesson.
$30usd for a 60 Minute Lesson.
Payment has to be received at least 4 hours before the lesson for it to take place. If payment is not received the lesson will not take place. Payment details will be sent via email from your teacher.
We accept payment via Bank Transfer, Paypal & Transferwise. Other options may be available so please ask if you wish to use an alternative method of payment.

If you are looking for an English Bar/Pub then my favourite has to be the Three Lions Inn. This place has a wide array of beers and English food on offer and will not disappoint. It is located on Yumen Street, Zhongshan District, Taipei City, 10491.
If you are looking for universities that offer course options in English then I would recommend both the National Taipei University and the National Taiwan University. Both have English course options are rated very highly.
If you are looking for an English themed restaurant then I would recommend the French Windows British Teahouse that provides a wide array of spectacular food and is located in the Xinyi District, Taipei City, Taiwan 110.
Lastly, if you find yourself looking for an English bookstore in Taipei you should definitely check out one of the Eslite Bookstore branches. They stock English books to help with your studies. Our favourite branch is located on Songgao Road, Xinyi District, Taipei City, Taiwan 110.
