For our beginner speakers, we will make sure the lessons are enjoyable and interesting without being too hard to understand. Owen Evans Is a professional Native English Speaking Teacher From The United Kingdom
Hi Everyone, My Name name is Owen Evans and I am a professional Native English teacher from Scotland in the UK. Don’t worry though, my accent is very easy to understand. I am known for having a great personality and a fun teaching style that I am sure you will appreciate.
I’m also a highly qualified teacher who has been teaching English for over two years to lots of different students. I’ve also taught guitar for almost 10 years to students of all ages and all difficulty levels. I currently hold a Degree in Music as well as being a TEFL certified teacher.
My hobbies include Music, Guitar, Football/Soccer, Language, Travel Food and Culture so I am confident that we can find lots of topics to talk about. I also speak conversational Japanese.

Yes. At English Lessons Oxford we teach students of all ages and for our younger learners, we like to keep the lessons as entertaining as possible. I feel it is really important that the lessons are engaging and fun for all ages.
Both IELTS and TOEFL tutoring are available to help you prepare for any upcoming exams you may have. We can study together for the exam & then when you are ready I can help you apply for your exam.
We accept payment via PayPal, Bank transfer and Transferwise. However, other payment options may be available if you have something else in mind.
How Lessons Work
All of our lessons are taken via video chat. We prefer skype or facetime but other options are available to you. Both apps can be downloaded for free on mobile or desktop. We also offer a free 15 min consultation lesson for students who wish to have a chat about what they wish to learn in future lessons. You can download Skype for free by clicking here.
All learning materials will be sent over to you via email. If your teacher wants you to buy a textbook or learning materials this will be talked about during lessons.
Payment has to be received at least 4 hours before each lesson. We recommend that you are ready and waiting for your lesson 5 minutes before it will start. This way we will get the full length of lesson complete with a few extra minutes as well. If payment is not received the lesson will be cancelled. However, we will honour any alternate agreement you have with your teacher.
Once the lesson has finished, you will be sent a review form with words that you need to practice or had problems with. This document will also include new vocabulary you have learned. It is expected that you practice these words so you can improve your English level for the next lesson. Review forms can be sent in English, 日本語, 한국어 & 中文.
Prices
Our prices:
£13 for a 30 Minute Lesson.
£25 for a 60 Minute Lesson.
Payment has to be received at least 4 hours before the lesson for it to take place. If payment is not received the lesson will not take place. Payment details will be sent after your lesson has been booked with your corresponding teacher.
We accept payment via Bank Transfer, Paypal & Transferwise. Other options may be available so please ask if you wish to use an alternative method of payment.

We are currently offering 6 lessons for the price of 5 on both 30 minute and 1-hour lessons. For Example: Usually, 6 one-hour lessons would cost £180. However, using this offer, the price would only be £150.

If books are your thing or you are looking for some books to improve your English then make sure to check out Blackwells Bookshop on Broad St, Oxford OX1 3BQ. This place has a wide range of everything you would need.
Lastly, if you are looking for a classic pub that also does some great pub food then I would recommend The Bear Inn. Which is a small pub located on Alfred St, Oxford OX1 4EH. However, this pub has a wide range of beers and food on offer.
