Hi, I’m Owen, a British English instructor, and I go by Owen. Due to the enjoyable way I teach, I come highly recommended. I have experience instructing learners from all over the world, and I am eager to assist you with your English.
I have been teaching English to a variety of students for more than two years as a highly trained teacher. I’ve also been teaching guitar to pupils of all ages for about ten years. I am now a qualified TEFL teacher and also have a degree in music.
My hobbies include Travelling, Music, Guitar, Football/Soccer, Language, Food and Culture so I am confident that we can find lots of topics to talk about.

Yes. At English Lessons London we teach students of all ages and for our younger learners, we like to keep the lessons as entertaining as possible.
Both IELTS and TOEFL tutoring are available to help you prepare for any upcoming exams you may have. We can study together for the exam & then when you are ready I can help you apply for your exam.
Yes, Beginners are welcome to come for lessons. I’ve gained a lot of experience in teaching all levels of student. I will always make sure you feel comfortable. I can currently speak Japanese but also have translators available if you need help in any other language.
How Lessons Work
Lessons are delivered using Facetime or Skype. Both are available for free download on desktop and mobile. We give a free 15-minute lesson to all new students if they have any questions about the lessons. If you are a more experienced speaker, we can then talk about what you hope to get out of your lessons. You can download Skype for free by clicking here.
All textbooks and practice materials will be sent over via email. Sometimes our teachers may require you to buy a textbook. If this is the case, you will be told before the lesson takes place.
Each class must be paid for at least four hours in advance. Five minutes before to the start of your lesson, we advise that you be prepared and waiting. The class will be canceled if payment is not received. However, your teacher will honour any previous agreements you may have had.
Once the lesson has finished, you are expected to practice and rehearse the course material in your own time. Learning to speak English is not easy and it will require a lot of time and dedication but our teachers will be more than willing to help you out with that.
Prices
Our prices:
£13 for a 30 Minute Lesson.
£25 for a 60 Minute Lesson.
Payment must be received at least four hours prior to the start of your course. The lesson will be canceled if the payment is not made. This regulation does not apply if you and your teacher have an alternative arrangement; we will uphold any such agreement. After a booking agreement has been achieved, payment information is sent.
We accept payment via Bank Transfer, Paypal & Transferwise. Other options may be available so please ask if you wish to use an alternative method of payment.
English courses and things to do in London
As you probably know there are a whole host of things to do in London as well as a lot of great Universities offering further education options for your English:
One of the best and most famous universities for studying English would be the University of London. Another great place to further your English education would be at Kings College London. Both have some great options.
There are so many things to do in London however my personal favourite would be the Natural History Museum. If you are interested in sport then London is also home to many football teams such as Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea.
If you want some great reading materials then the bookstore I would really recommend would be Hatchards which has been in business for over 200 years & has everything you could want to find. This store is located on Piccadilly, St. James’s, London W1J 9LE.
Lastly, if you want to visit a traditional pub I would recommend The Grenadier located on Wilton Row, Belgravia, London SW1X 7NR. Yes, It is expensive but It is a great cosy pub with really great quality food stooped in history.
