As of now, all of our teachers are from the United Kingdom and all have an accent that is neutral and easy to understand.
Every teacher is extensively qualified to provide you with the best quality learning experience. We also make sure every teacher has teaching experience to ensure your lessons run as smoothly as possible. All teachers undergo a background check to make sure every student gets the highest quality of teacher possible.
Every teacher will have their own teaching style. However, we can guarantee that every lesson will be conducted in a professional manner. Hi Everyone, My Name name is Owen Evans and I am a professional Native English teacher from the UK. I have a wide range of experience within the teaching field. I like to make sure my lessons are both interesting and exciting. Together we will learn a wide range of skills to help you with your English.
I am a highly qualified teacher who has been teaching English for over two years to students from all over the world. I’ve also been teaching guitar for over 10 years and this is a subject I love to talk about. I currently hold a Degree in Music as well as being a TEFL certified teacher.
My hobbies include Travelling, playing the Guitar, Football/Soccer, Language, Music, Food and Culture so I am confident that we can find lots of topics to talk about.

At English Lessons Edinburgh we teach a wide variety of ages from 5 all the way to 70. We believe that it is never too early or too late to learn English and our Engaging lessons will make sure everyone regardless of age will see a staggering amount of progress in a short while.
Both IELTS and TOEFL tutoring are available to help you prepare for any upcoming exams you may have. We can study together for the exam & then when you are ready I can help you apply for your exam.
Yes, Beginners are welcome to come for lessons. I have a lot of experience in teaching all levels of student.
How Lessons Work
Lessons take place via Skype or Facetime. Both of these platforms are free to download on any computer or smartphone. A free 15 min consultation lesson is available so we can discuss what you want to learn during your lessons. You can download Skype for free by clicking here.
Learning materials and textbooks will be sent via email. However, if your instructor wants you to buy a textbook for the lessons you will be instructed to do so.
Payment has to be received at least 4 hours before each lesson. We recommend that you are ready for your lesson at least 10 mins before it is due to start. If you are late, the teacher is not obliged to run the lesson longer than the allocated timeslot.
When the lesson has finished, your teacher will send a review form with words that you may have struggled with or need to practice. This document will also include new vocabulary you have learned. It is expected that you practice these words so you can improve your English level for the next lesson. Review forms can be sent in English, 日本語, 한국어 & 中文.
Prices
Our prices:
£13 per 30 min lesson.
£25 per 60 min lesson.
Payment has to be received at least 4 hours before the scheduled lesson. If the payment is not received then the scheduled lesson will be cancelled. If you have a different arrangement with your teacher then this rule does not apply as we will honour any student teacher agreement made prior to the lesson taking place. Payment details will be sent once you have scheduled a lesson with your teacher.
We accept payment via Bank Transfer, Paypal & Transferwise. Other options may be available so please ask if you wish to use an alternative method of payment.
