At English Lessons Busan we feel it is important that all of our teachers are native speakers. With this in mind, we only employ people from native speaking countries. This is the best way for you to learn English properly and quickly.
All of our teachers are qualified to make sure you have a great time whilst learning English. Every teacher at English Lessons Busan is required to have English teaching experience as well as having taken a background check.
Every teacher has their own unique teaching style. However, we love to build the lessons around subjects that you love and are interested in. Hi Everyone, My Name name is Owen Evans and I am a professional Native English teacher from the UK. I come from a musical background and have been teaching music/guitar for almost 10 years as well as teaching English for almost 3 years now. I like to make sure all of my lessons are fun and interesting.
I’m highly qualified and have been teaching students all over the world for some time now. I’ve also taught guitar for almost 10 years to students of all abilities and ages. I currently hold a Degree in Music as well as being a TEFL certified teacher.
My hobbies include Travelling, Music, Guitar, Football/Soccer, Language, Food and Culture so I am confident that we can find lots of topics to talk about.

Yes, I have a lot of experience in teaching English students of all ability levels including beginners.
Both IELTS and TOEFL tutoring are available to help you prepare for any upcoming exams you may have. We can study together for the exam & then when you are ready I can help you apply for your exam.
You can take as many lessons as you want providing your teacher is available. I would recommend two lessons per week though to really improve in a short space of time.
How Lessons Work
Our lessons are usually via video chat. We would recommend skype or facetime, however, other options are available if this is easier for you. You can download Skype for free by clicking here.
Before and after every lesson, your teacher will send you a new vocabulary sheet to learn for the next lesson. You are also expected to take notes during every English lesson.
Payment has to be received at least 4 hours before each lesson. We recommend that you are ready and waiting for your lesson 5 minutes before it is supposed to start. This way we can start the lesson early if possible. If payment is not received the lesson will be cancelled. However, we will honour any alternate agreement you have with your teacher.
After every lesson, you will be sent a second review forum with all the words that you are expected to learn and practice for the next lesson. Review forms can be sent in English, 日本語, 한국어 & 中文.
Prices
Our prices:
15USD for a 30 Minute Lesson.
30USD for a 60 Minute Lesson.
Payment has to be received before the lesson otherwise your lesson will be cancelled. Lesson prices can be negotiated with your teacher.
We accept payment via Bank Transfer, Kakaopay, Paypal & Transferwise. Other options may be available so please ask if you wish to use an alternative method of payment.

Busan is a beautiful city with many things to do and experience. Here are our choice of English based activities to do:
If drinking and socialising is your thing then we would really recommend visiting the Wolfhound which can be found on 13 Haeundaehaebyeon-ro 265beon-gi, U-dong, Haeundae, Busan. This is a great Irish/British themed pub that has a wide range of beers available as well as a good pub food menu.
If further studies are something that you are interested in then there are a few universities where you can study English or study another subject in English. Pusan National University would be the obvious choice with a wide range of courses on offer. Another option would be the Busan University Of Foreign Studies. I think the name speaks for itself with this one.
If you are looking for some books in English to further your studies then I would recommend Young Kwang Book Store on 10 Seomyeonmunhwa-ro, Bujeon 1(il)-dong, Busanjin-gu, Busan. This place has a good selection of books in English for studying.
Sadly I couldn’t find many English themed restaurants but if you are looking for an American/English themed pub then I would recommend Gorilla Brewing Co who have a great selection of craft beers on offer. They can be found on 125 Gwangnam-ro, Gwangan 2(i)-dong, Suyeong-gu, Busan.
