Hi! My name is Owen and I am a Native English speaking teacher from the United Kingdom. I like to always make sure that my lessons are enjoyable and fun. I feel that if you enjoy your lessons then your English will improve faster.
I’m a very experienced teacher. I have been teaching English for over 2 years to students from all over the world. I’ve also taught guitar for over 10 years now. I currently hold a degree in Music as well as being a TEFL certified teacher.
My hobbies include Travelling, Music, Guitar, Football, Language, Food and Culture so I am confident that we can find lots of topics to talk about that we both find interesting.

At English Lessons Aberdeen we offer Both IELTS and TOEFL tutoring. We can study together for the exam & then when you are ready I can help you apply for your exam.
Yes, It is very possible. We are happy to let you take as many lessons per week as you wish. It is recommended that when taking multiple lessons per week that you make them 30 min lessons. This seems to get the best results.
How Lessons Work
Lessons are taken via video chat. We prefer to use Facetime or Skype however other options are available. We do offer a free consultation lesson if you want to discuss options that are available with your teacher. If you have not already, you can download Skype for free by clicking here.
All textbooks and practice materials will be sent over via email from your teacher. If any textbooks are required then your teacher will tell you.
Payment has to be received at least 4 hours before each lesson. We recommend that you are ready early for your lesson. If you are late for your timeslot then the lesson will be shorter or cancelled.
When the lesson has finished, your teacher will send a review form with words that you need to review or practice. This document will also include new vocabulary you have learned. It’s expected that you practice these words so your teacher can move onto new topics for the next lesson. Review forms can be sent in English, 日本語, 한국어 & 中文.
Prices
Our prices:
£13 for a 30 Minute Lesson.
£25 for a 60 Minute Lesson.
Payment has to be received at least 4 hours before your lesson will start. If the payment is not received then the lesson will be cancelled. Sometimes, students will make a different arrangement with their teacher and this is fine. Your teacher will always notify us if this is the case.
We accept payment via Bank Transfer, Paypal, KakaoPay & Transferwise. Other options may be available so please ask if you wish to use an alternative method of payment.

If you are already a great English Speaker and want to take your English study even further then I would recommend Aberdeen University which has a wide range Language courses available to all. The university also has some great grounds you can visit, they are located in old Aberdeen at Kings College, AB24 3FX. If Aberdeen University isn’t your thing then I would recommend checking out Robert Gordon University.
If you are looking for a great book store come cafe then InI would recommend Books and Beans on Belmont Street, AB10 1JH. This place has a wide range of used language books for learning English and serves some great tea and coffee.
If you want to try some Scottish food then I would recommend Howies based on Chapel Street, AB10 1SN. This has a wide range of English and Scottish food on offer which is definitely something you need to try.
Lastly, if you are looking for a traditional Scottish or English Pub with a twist then I would recommend Slains Castle which has been Built inside an old church and is really something you don’t see every day. It is also located on Belmont Street, AB10 1JE.
