Every English teacher we employ at English lessons Madrid is a native speaker. We believe it is important whilst learning English to practice with native speakers to improve properly.
Every teacher is fully qualified to give you the best learning experience possible. All have to have prior teaching experience as well as having taken a background check. We prefer our teachers to have at least 2 years of teaching experience.
Our teachers always have a fun teaching style. It is important that as well as learning during your English lessons you also enjoy them. At English Lessons Madrid we will make sure every English lesson is as enjoyable as the last. We also offer IELT’s teaching if you are a more experienced speaker. Hi Everyone, My Name name is Owen Evans and I am a professional Native English teacher from Scotland in the UK. I have a neutral accent that is easy to understand for all learners. I’m easy going and will always help you with any problems you might have.
I am a highly qualified teacher who has been teaching English for over two years as well as teaching guitar for over 10 years now. I’m used to dealing with students of all speaking levels from beginner to advanced. I have a degree in music as well as a TEFL certificate.
My hobbies include Music, Guitar, Football/Soccer, Language, Travel, Food and Culture so I am confident that we can find lots of topics to talk about. I also speak conversational Japanese.

Yes, at English lessons Madrid we offer everything from Beginner Lessons to Advanced English lessons.
Both IELTS and TOEFL tutoring are available to help you prepare for any upcoming exams you may have. If there are any other English based exams you wish to learn then please let me know.
We accept payment via PayPal, Bank transfer and Transferwise. However, we also accept other payment methods if you wish to suggest something to us.
How Our Lessons Work
All of our lessons are taken Online via video chatting software. The best free options available at the moment seem to be Skype and facetime. We are however open to any other options on the market. Please send us an email for more information or to organise a free 15 min consultation lesson. You can download Skype for free by clicking here.
All learning materials will be sent over to you via email. If your teacher wants you to buy a textbook or learning materials you will be notified via email.
Payment has to be received at least 4 hours before each lesson. We recommend that you are ready and waiting for your lesson 5 minutes before it will start. This ensures everyone is on time and reaps the full benefits of their English lesson.
Once the lesson has finished, you will be sent a review form with words that you need to practice or had problems with. This document will also include the new vocabulary you have learned. It is expected that you practice these words so you can improve your English level for the next lesson. Review forms can be sent in English, Spanish, 日本語, 한국어 & 中文.
Prices
Our prices:
$15USD for a 30 Minute Lesson.
$30USD for a 60 Minute Lesson.
Payment has to be received at least 4 hours before the lesson for it to take place. If payment is not received the lesson will not take place. Payment details will be sent after your lesson has been booked with your corresponding teacher.
We accept payment via Bank Transfer, Paypal & Transferwise. Other options may be available so please ask if you wish to use an alternative method of payment.

We are currently offering 4 lessons for the price of 3. This means your final lesson in a group booking of 4 is free. We also offer group lesson discounts if you want to learn with a friend.
English courses and things to do in Madrid
Madrid is an amazing Spanish city rich in culture and heritage. However, here are some of the English based things you can do in the area:
Madrid has some of the best universities in the whole of Spain. There are a few that offer courses either in English or studying English. The obvious choice would be the Complutense University Of Madrid who has a wide range of English based courses available to a wide range of students. The other option would be UNED who have a wide range of Masters and Doctorate programs.
If you want to try some English based food then the best option to try would be the Covent Garden English Pub. They have some great English based food as well as some great English Beers. They are located on Calle del Dr. Fleming, 31, 28036 Madrid.
If you are looking for a bookstore that sells books in the English language then I would recommend Desperate Literature on Calle de Campomanes, 13, 28013 Madrid. They have a wide range of books for all of your English studies.
Lastly, if you are looking for a classic English style pub then my best suggestion would be the Beer station located on Cuesta de Santo Domingo, 22, 28013 Madrid. There is a wide range of beers on offer to enjoy and relax in the sun.
